About The Position

This position operates on first shift, Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm. Overtime may be required, including 10 hour days and scheduled Saturdays. The operator will sort plates, rail spikes, and other track material as it comes down a conveyor belt. Scrap is sorted manually, and plates weigh up to 40 pounds. Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent education and experience.
Must be able to work in severe weather conditions and withstand fumes, dust and other physical demands of the job.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating forklifts and other mobile equipment is a plus

Responsibilities

Move, sort and divide Recycled railroad parts and metals coming down a conveyor line system.
Work is extremely dirty and workers are exposed to all weather conditions
Run various equipment
Perform routine maintenance and clean up
Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Climb, squat, bend,and crawl
Other duties as assigned.
