About The Position

As an Operations Technician, you’ll be part of a dynamic team maintaining one of Williams’ largest installations of horsepower and power distribution equipment. You’ll gain valuable experience working with: Gas turbines and high-speed reciprocating engines Medium voltage generators and power distribution systems Environmental controls and distributed control systems You’ll also support construction projects, troubleshoot equipment, and analyze data to solve technical challenges—all while growing into a respected leader among your peers. As an experienced operations technician, your expertise will be central to the success of our facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and travel between locations
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions and elevated areas with PPE
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence
  • 6+ months of operations experience, or internship with Associate degree (Technician I)
  • 2+ years of operations experience, preferably in oil & gas (Technician II)
  • 3+ years of operations experience, preferably in oil & gas (Technician III)
  • 6+ years of operations experience with similar equipment or facilities; Associate degree preferred (Technician Sr)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applications
  • Ability to embrace new technologies and drive operational efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Keeping our equipment running safely and smoothly by performing a range of hands-on tasks, from reading drawings to inspecting gear and supporting pipeline operations—all while meeting technical standards and regulations
  • Collaborating with your teammates to analyze data and find solutions to technical or operational challenges, making a real impact every day
  • Following our company policies and using the right procedures to ensure efficient and safe operations
  • Learning and applying the requirements for safe, effective facility operations, while protecting our team, community, environment, and assets
  • Staying familiar with your site, equipment, and permits to help maintain compliance and support smooth operations
  • Maintaining accurate records of process operations, completing reports and logs, and assisting with preventive maintenance to ensure top equipment performance
  • Helping with other projects and responsibilities as needed
