Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
  • Requires one year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
  • Requires the ability to successfully complete a tax compliance and fingerprint-based background check.
  • Requires the ability to use and secure a state issued mobile device, e.g., cellular phone, laptop computer, tablet, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of experience tracking and coordinating information from various groups and sources.
  • Two (2) years of experience coordinating, organizing, prioritizing, and maintaining follow-up of progress for multiple tasks.
  • Three (3) years of experience working in a public or private organization maintaining confidentiality of information.
  • Two (2) years of experience compiling data and maintaining a database for various reports.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet program.
  • Two (2) years of experience following and maintaining mandated compliance standards to protect confidential information, such as Internal Revenue Service Publication 1075 or similar information security control guidelines.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint or similar information sharing system.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Teams or similar collaborative system.

Responsibilities

  • Under direction, organizes, plans, executes, controls, and evaluates the operation of the Safeguarding Operation for the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR).
  • Coordinates and maintains control of reports and special projects.
  • Functions as a Technology Coordinator for IDOR.
  • Oversees the administration of IDOR employee rights to access IDOR computer applications.
  • Monitors and works the Aged User Report for accounts that have not been logged into for over 30 days.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
