About The Position

Pellitteri Waste Systems, Inc., has been a locally owned and operated company for over 70 years. We are searching for an experienced, positive and enthusiastic Operations Supervisor to join our team! This position primarily assists the Operations Managers and takes on a lead role in assuring the effective and efficient routing and scheduling for PWS Operations. Requirements

  • Experience working with routing and logistics software
  • Ability to change or create routes in all divisions to improve efficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Encore, electronic calendars, etc
  • Ability to effectively provide leadership supervision in the dispatch office
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Willing to undergo a drug screening in accordance with local law/regulations
  • Possess OR the ability to obtain a Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (Class B)

Responsibilities

  • This positions generally needs to be available between the hours of 8:00 am - 6:00 pm M-F, some Saturday morning rotating schedules as well (usually done by noon on Saturday)
  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of routes using computer software
  • Analyze and make recommendations on improving route performances
  • Enter accurate and timely dispatches and updates
  • Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction on routes while maintaining service quality
  • Accurately complete required forms, documents, reports, records, etc.
  • Assist in directing drivers to perform pick-ups and deliveries in an efficient and effective manner
  • Attend regular training and educational programs related to dispatching and routing software
  • Assist with various yearly projects in Operations
