About The Position

The Operations Staff Accountant manages day-to-day corporate financial operations, ensuring accuracy through meticulous journal entries, bank reconciliations, and intercompany accounting. This role serves as a key link between the corporate office and individual properties, requiring a detail-oriented professional capable of performing variance analysis and supporting audit and tax functions. The pay range for this position is $75-85k based upon factors including but not limited to related experience and time in the industry.

Requirements

Functional knowledge of general accounting principles and processes.
Ability to perform quality assurance reviews.
Analytical background with detail-oriented mindset.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time to meet deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or 4 years of additional related experience in lieu of a degree).
0-2 years of experience in accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

Review and approve all corporate credit card transactions, ensuring accurate reimbursement billing to specific projects.
Prepare and analyze journal entries (accrual and cash basis) and manage complex intercompany transactions across a tiered company structure.
Perform monthly bank and GL account reconciliations and conduct variance analysis to provide insights into corporate performance.
Support the corporate team by managing billings, creating charges, and assisting with collection efforts.
Act as a key resource for independent third-party audits by providing necessary documentation for year-end tax preparation for properties and corporate entities.
Assist with other ad hoc projects and tasks as needed
