About The Position

This is a highly technical position that entails analysis of Agency programs to provide information required by management. The incumbent will use statistical techniques and related software to obtain, summarize, and analyze data pertaining to costs, clients, utilization, and other aspects of APD programs. The incumbent will develop reports and presentations to communicate results to management.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of direct work experience utilizing statistical software applications such as SPSS, SAS, R or equivalent.
  • Must have at least 1 year of direct work experience in data mining or data analysis.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft software programs (Outlook, Sharepoint, Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint).

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher preferred with a major course of study in mathematics, statistics, economics, finance or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and tests queries to obtain and summarize data from the Agency’s iConnect system, the Medicaid paid claims database (FMMIS), and other agency data systems as required for mandated agency reports, management decision-making and regional administration.
  • Provides technical consultation to Agency management and staff concerning the collection, analysis and reporting of data as well as technical assistance with information system data file designs.
  • Develops research strategies for investigating new developments and topics of interest to management.
  • Prepares and maintains syntax programming and procedures developed for the provision of daily files to facilitate information for management and staff.
  • Performs ad hoc information requests submitted by various customers as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
