About The Position

The Audit Review Specialist leverages extensive expertise in premium audit standards to meticulously review audits, ensuring adherence to established criteria and timelines. The Audit Specialist provides valuable support to field auditors and vendors in managing outstanding audits, while also collaborating closely with internal teams to swiftly resolve inquiries, rectify discrepancies, and oversee the progress of premium recovery efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Five or more years of comprehensive premium audit experience
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication, with a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Capable of making decisions, within the scope of authority, and effectively multi-tasking, while maintaining attention to detail
  • Skill in time and organizational management, with the ability to be professional, flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Skill in interpersonal relations, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of internal and external contacts; skill in customer service and problem-solving
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and function specific software applications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely analysis of assigned audits in compliance with state regulations; verify that all data has been accurately captured and properly accounted for on the audit; review financial information to ensure accuracy of the comprehensive audit; verify classifications and calculations performing additional calculations as necessary.
  • Facilitate resolution of audit disputes with both internal and external customers; identify and rectify errors and omissions, escalating issues as appropriate; perform audit adjustments and efficiently manage pending audit files.
  • Provide coaching and feedback on audit procedures to team members.
  • Provide superior customer service and effectively communicate with existing policyholders.
  • Maintain adherence to state documentation requirements for all audits; accurately input all required information and documentation; create and distribute professional written communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
