Salary/Hourly Rate: Primary Duties These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Oversee the Accountable Mail/Classified operation of the DoS contract. Direct and coordinate activities of all General Clerk II employees. Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties. Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency. Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff members as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • 2-3 years of direct experience required.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Will be subject to a U.S. Government background check/investigation.
  • Customer service oriented and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work well independently and as a contributing member of a team
  • High level of integrity and personal accountability.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos, labels and numbers.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Excellent customer service skills, verbal and written skills and ability to accept and follow directions.
  • Basic typing skills; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • ∙Ability to define problems and provide solutions.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines on a daily basis.
  • Maintain a high level of performance with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Accountable Mail/Classified operation of the DoS contract.

  • Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff members as necessary.
  • Work with management to determine staffing requirements, and interview, train new employees.
  • Train or instruct employees in job duties or company policies or arrange for training to be provided.
  • Evaluate employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action.
  • Review records or reports pertaining to activities such as production, payroll, or shipping to verify details, monitor work activities, or evaluate performance.
  • Recruit, interview, and select employees.
  • Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
