About The Position

The Operations Processing Specialist will support the designated department(s) by providing exceptional customer service, accurate document production and reporting as well as timely, effective communication to key parties. This role is a key aspect of daily processing for all Operations as it relates to the organization. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Incoming/outgoing mail processing and general office support as needed. Responsible for handling all requests of functional area timely and accurately and within the established service standard. Collaborate with internal and external partners to obtain and provide information, improve processes, and enhance the policyholder’s experience. Timely and accurately create and submit any regulatory reporting required by operational function. Ensure data integrity is maintained in source systems and all documentation created and distribution to policyholders and internal business partners. Provide reception, phone, and desk coverage as needed. May participate in audit schedules by internal or external partners; producing files, documents, respond to questions, etc. May participate in new and upgrade installation for all systems that impact functional areas; may include building business requirements, test cases, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT). Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or minimum of 2 years of operational experience
  • 1-2 years of insurance or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems applications
  • Ability to evaluate and properly handle confidential information
  • Ability to produce high quality outcomes in a highly productive environment
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Good organizational, customer service, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work in a flexible environment to support the MagMutual mission of ‘working together’ to get the job done
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships within various departments
  • Ability to use critical thinking in processing work and resolving problems

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in legal, claim, underwriting, accounting with P&C Insurance, or medical environment
