About The Position

The Operations Manager at Fluke Corporation leads, directs and controls the operations of Factory/s to achieve the short term and medium financial operating objectives set by the overall organization business plan. Primary Responsibilities: Budget and forecast the variable cost center and improve factory costs. Provide the cost benefit analysis on capital equipment and justify expenses. Accountable for workflow, timely delivery, and adherence to production schedules of assigned factories. Optimize resource allocation, including materials, equipment, and personnel. Lead Tier 2, attend Tier 3. Monitor production metrics, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement. Run factory daily management and lead direct reports in objective problem solving. Collect and analyze data to establish facts, understand root cause and provide practical solutions to problems. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production processes within factories and cross-functional departments. Lead or facilitate Lean kaizen events to improve your business. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance productivity. Collaborate with materials to ensure timely availability of raw materials. Manage inventory levels efficiently. Understand and implement necessary labor, machines, materials, and space to launch and sustain new products in your factory. Address any quality-related issues promptly. Ensure products meet industry standards and customer specifications. Implement and maintain quality control measures. Partner with engineering teams to streamline operations within assigned factories. Conduct regular safety audits and address any safety concerns. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Responsible for the Talent Development of the production managers and their subsequent teams. Leadership Responsibilities Implement strategies to retain, engage, and develop a qualified and motivated workforce. Overall responsibility and oversight of the factory, direct management of assigned factories Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure effective performance. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the electronics industry.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in an operations or leadership role
  • Demonstrated positive results with Lean / Kaizen / continuous improvement skills.
  • Experience with Oracle and Business Intelligence.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and out of the box thinking.
  • Consistent track record of working with cross functional teams.
  • Ability to identify strategic opportunities and develop, implement and sustain changes to deliver year over year improvements to quality, delivery and cost.
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) for varying levels of leadership.
  • Familiarity with Inventory and Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
