THE OPERATIONS MANAGER WILL PLAN, DEVELOP, AND ESTABLISH PROCESSES TO MEET CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS. THE OPERATIONS MANAGER HAS THE OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SHOP FLOOR. THE OPERATIONS MANAGER MUST POSSESS THE TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXCELLENT DECISION-MAKING SKILLS THAT PERTAIN TO: PRODUCT, PRODUCTION, EQUIPMENT, AND CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS. THE OPERATIONS MANAGER AIDS THE GENERAL MANAGER IN FORMULATING AND ADMINISTERING ORGANIZATIONAL POLICIES AND IN DEVELOPING LONG RANGE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. THE OPERATIONS MANAGER IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING, FACILITATING, AND ENSURING THE COMPLIANCE OF ALL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDELINES. THEY MUST BE SKILLED ENOUGH TO DISTINGUISH WHAT TYPE OF TRAINING NEEDS TO BE PROVIDED TO THE PERSONNEL AND COORDINATE ANY OUTSIDE TRAINING TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS.
