About The Position

Dolce & Gabbana, a leader in the world of luxury fashion, has an exceptional Operations Manager career opportunity available at our 695 Madison Avenue boutique. ROLE The Operations Manager oversees all back‑of‑house functions and operational processes to ensure the boutique operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Dolce & Gabbana standards. This role manages the Stock Supervisor, Tailors, and Stock Keepers, ensuring seamless merchandise flow, operational excellence, and a best‑in‑class client experience. MISSION Ensure operational excellence to maximize store productivity and support sales performance. Oversee stockroom organization, merchandise flow, and inventory accuracy. Lead and develop the Stock Supervisor, Tailors, and Stock Keepers. Uphold brand standards and act as an ambassador of Dolce & Gabbana values. Maintain compliance with corporate procedures, loss prevention guidelines, and operational policies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of luxury retail operations experience, including team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of stockroom operations, inventory control, and merchandise flow.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all back‑of‑house operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
  • Manage daily stockroom activities, including receiving, processing, replenishment, transfers, RTVs, damage, and supply management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate movement of merchandise between stockroom and sales floor.
  • Partner with Store Director and corporate teams to support operational initiatives, audits, and process improvements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Stock Supervisor, Tailors, and Stock Keepers.
  • Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and workflow to support business needs.
  • Provide ongoing training on operational procedures, systems, and stockroom best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative, high‑performance environment aligned with brand values.
  • Oversee all inventory control processes, including bi‑annual inventory preparation and execution.
  • Monitor stock levels, discrepancies, and unknown markdowns; propose corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with loss prevention policies and maintain a secure stockroom environment.
  • Review and validate all receiving documentation, deliveries, and outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure efficient replenishment to minimize client wait time and support selling productivity.
  • Partner with Client Advisors and management to prepare merchandise for display and client appointments.
  • Oversee tailoring workflow and ensure timely completion of client alterations.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, lighting concerns, and structural needs, coordinate with Corporate for resolution.
  • Manage store supplies, packaging, uniforms, and operational materials, including ordering, inventory, and vendor coordination.
  • Support special events, visual installations, and boutique projects as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational policies, procedures, and safety standards.
