About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for the successful development and implementation of Profile Products Manufacturing operational plans for two of our manufacturing facilities. The position fosters and promotes our Safety first and Customer first culture and manages our manufacturing facilities in accordance with company values and objectives. The role focuses on establishing and maintaining world class manufacturing facilities, reducing manufacturing costs, optimizing inventory utilization, promoting a LEAN culture, effectively managing operations and maximizing profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial management, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field; master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 20 years’ manufacturing experience, with specific expertise in process, safety, quality, and plant management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and to meet deadlines, while delivering projects within budget; results oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated initiative
  • Ability to establish, maintain, and update short- and long-term goals
  • Proven ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and present ideas confidently and persuasively; ability to motivate others
  • Strong computer skills that include proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Dropbox

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Assist chief operating officer with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
  • Review production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
  • Ensure a healthy and safer working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
  • Identify and share training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
  • Organize departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
  • Work with chief financial officer to develop operating budget.
  • Deliver progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.
  • Supervise equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout.
  • Oversee and participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of employees
  • Oversee schedules and assignments for the division.
  • Ensure completion of employee performance evaluations.
  • Administer discipline and termination of employees in accordance with Company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
