About The Position

PURPOSE: Supervises Warehouse order fulfillment, inventory, shipping and receiving activities and associates for a specific shift/area to ensure functions are performed within Company and Distribution Center guidelines. Provides excellent customer service to stores serviced through accurate handling of inbound and outbound product.

Requirements

  • Possess strong general knowledge of all warehousing operations, with prior work experience to include lead person or supervisory duties, preferably with the Company.
  • Possess good supervisory skills and the ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results.
  • Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret computerized reports.
  • Requires the analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities. Possess the ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions.
  • Basic computer skills required and personal computer experience helpful, with word processing, email, internet browser software's, and spreadsheet applications. Previous Warehouse Management System experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with customers and coworkers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work with TCCP to create an inclusive environment where all are welcomed.

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to work for extended periods under cold, wet conditions.
  • Vision corrected to enable reading of small print
  • Ability to operate the following equipment safely:
  • Forklift
  • Electric and hand pallet jacks
  • Two-wheelers
  • Other warehouse equipment as required
  • Standard office equipment

  • Previous Warehouse Management System experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and supervises warehouse associates.
  • Controls production standards, accuracy of shipments and receiving, using proper accuracy programs and systems.
  • Maintains daily production and accuracy records.
  • Ensures the daily processing of customer returns and return to vendors, using proper Company policies.
  • Coordinates with Inventory Control regarding slotting, product rotation, product quality issues and space allocation.
  • Coordinates daily replenishment of product into picking locations.
  • Conducts daily team meetings to discuss sanitation, safety, productivity, and accuracy.
  • Development of daily outbound route transportation. Ability to design, communicate, direct, and maintain routing for customers and delivery staff for efficiency and route optimization.
  • Supervises scheduling of inbound product appointments.
  • Responsible for ensuring documentation and paperwork is complete for all inbound shipments, outbound shipments, SSOP's and other food safety documentation.
  • Ensures daily closing procedures are followed and completed.
  • Walks warehouse daily, to ensure that safety, security, sanitation and pest control codes, laws, and policies are maintained.
  • Ensures the most economical and efficient use of equipment and personnel to accomplish assigned work.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment and trucks are in working order. Handle breakdowns, troubleshooting, communicating with service people, and coordinating interim procedures while waiting for service/replacement.
  • Establish and maintain PMs for all CPW equipment and follow through to ensure its completion.
  • Trains, coaches, and develops warehouse associates and delivery staff to meet and/or exceed productivity and quality standards.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationship with all departments, customers, and vendors.
  • Ensures Safety and Food Safety policies and procedures are met and/or followed. Participates in monthly Safety Committee meetings.
  • Participates in the hiring process, including determining staffing needs (scheduling), evaluating applications, and conducting interviews with both external and internal candidates.
