We are currently looking for a Operations intern at our St Louis, MO office. The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026. Join our Operations Team as an intern and gain invaluable professional experience. Enhance your skills and contribute to real projects that have visibility across the business through a summer internship. Come discover all we have to offer! At the end of this internship, you will: have observed large-scale production of food flavors using Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) along with principles of Manufacturing, Quality and Safety. The position will emphasize product creation which includes production operations, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives within the liquid flavors and vanilla manufacturing areas.

Requirements

  • Currently working on completion of a bachelor’s degree in Business/Operations Management, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Must be available to work full-time on-site beginning on June 1, 2026, to August 14, 2026.
  • Excellent communication and strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends using Excel
  • Work safely in an aromatic (food flavors) production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Production Support: Assist with daily production activities, monitor and document production metrics, and support troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to GMP, safety protocols, and company policies; participate in quality checks and documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to efficiency and waste reduction projects; collect and analyze data for improvement opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production leads, maintenance, and quality teams; prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings.
