About The Position

RLJ Lodging Trust is offering a paid, rotational summer internship opportunity designed to provide meaningful exposure across multiple business functions. This immersive experience blends on‑the‑job training, mentorship, and access to learning opportunities that help interns build practical skills and a strong foundation for future career growth. Participants may rotate through several departments such as Finance, Asset Management, Design & Construction, IP&A, and other key business units, to gain a holistic understanding of how the organization operates. Interns will work on real projects, engage with leaders across the company, and build a portfolio of work to support future professional endeavors General details below: On-site 5x/week (40 hours) and located in Bethesda, MD. 6-to-12-week program, traditionally June through August. Competitive hourly rate paid semi-monthly. Transportation stipend of $160 per month or fully subsidized parking to help absorb commuting costs. Interns are responsible for their own health insurance and housing. INTERNSHIP STRUCTUREThree (3) internship positions are available for the RLJ 2026 Summer Internship Program. Requirements

  • To be eligible, you must be a rising sophomore or rising junior and available for the duration of the internship program.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be progressing towards a bachelor's degree in business, real estate, hospitality, or a related area. Concentration in hospitality is a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)
  • Candidates must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

  • Application deadline is Monday, March 27, 2026.
  • Interviews will take place on a rolling basis, and final decisions will be made no later than Thursday, April 30, 2026.

  • Concentration in hospitality is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with departmental projects, data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Supporting research initiatives, preparing presentations, or contributing to team deliverables.
  • Participating in cross‑functional meetings and learning how departments collaborate.
  • Contributing to internal initiatives such as policy updates, financial reviews, operational assessments, or communications planning.
  • Completing a final collaborative group project and presenting it to company leadership at the end of the summer.
