About The Position

As a Systems Administrator SME, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Google GSS. You will play a crucial role in supporting Google's USG cloud infrastructure, working at Google facilities in the Tyson's Corner area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in working with operating systems/networks
  • Experience in supporting networking; scripting and automation; application troubleshooting
  • Experience with creating or optimizing deployment and/or support processes for desktop workstations, laptops, video conferencing, software, and patches
  • Experience with creating scripts to automate common tasks
  • Understanding of local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) and mobile computing environments
  • Understanding of enterprise networking to include familiarity with Cisco Switches
  • Understanding of IT change management best practices
  • Understanding of STIG and hardening practices
  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Polygraph
  • US citizenship required
  • Ability to support 24x7 in a rotating on-call capacity
  • 10 + years of related experience
  • Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)
  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • Networking
  • Operating Systems (OS)
  • Specific knowledge of Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and the Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, Ubuntu platform is requested

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure and maintain Operations Center(OC) IT infrastructure
  • Perform virtual maintenance such as patching, and ensure uptime of all necessary physical equipment, including workstations, AV equipment, and infrastructure servers
  • Perform break-fix actions for local workstations and IT equipment
  • Maintain the local admin network
  • Responsible for network infrastructure for Operations Center (OC) IT infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot any issues that may arise with infrastructure
