MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Systems Administrator SME, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Google GSS. You will play a crucial role in supporting Google's USG cloud infrastructure, working at Google facilities in the Tyson's Corner area. Deploy, configure and maintain Operations Center(OC) IT infrastructure. • Perform virtual maintenance such as patching, and ensure uptime of all necessary physical equipment, including workstations, AV equipment, and infrastructure servers • Perform break-fix actions for local workstations and IT equipment. • Maintain the local admin network • Specific knowledge of Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and the Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, Ubuntu platform is requested • Responsible for network infrastructure for Operations Center (OC) IT infrastructure • Troubleshoot any issues that may arise with infrastructure • Maintain the local admin network WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
Requirements
- Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Networking
- Operating Systems (OS)
- 10 + years of related experience
- US Citizenship Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in working with operating systems/networks
- Experience in supporting networking; scripting and automation; application troubleshooting
- Experience with creating or optimizing deployment and/or support processes for desktop workstations, laptops, video conferencing, software, and patches
- Experience with creating scripts to automate common tasks
- Understanding of local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) and mobile computing environments
- Understanding of enterprise networking to include familiarity with Cisco Switches
- Understanding of IT change management best practices
- Understanding of STIG and hardening practices
- Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Polygraph
- US citizenship required
- Role requirements: ability to support 24x7 in a rotating on-call capacity
