About The Position

Bridger Aerospace is an aerial firefighting company based in Belgrade, Montana, located at the Bozeman Yellowstone Airport (KBZN). It was founded in 2014 to support front-line firefighters with world-leading technology and aerial fire suppression systems. We have grown from operating a single plane to commanding a significant Air Attack and the largest Super Scooper fleet in the U.S. in less than eight years. Bridger is a leader in fighting wildfires, specializing in Air Attack, Fire Suppression, and Aerial Fire-Mapping technologies. Our focus is to provide the most effective and modern capabilities to fight fires from the air. Meeting the needs of the growing threat of economic and environmental damage caused by wildfires and supporting ground-based firefighters is our priority. Bridger Aerospace is seeking an Operations Center Duty Officer who will assist the Operations Center Manager in monitoring daily operations and communications. The Duty Officer position is an opportunity to learn how fire aviation works, expand your knowledge of commercial operations in a multi-faceted environment, and interact with industry professionals, pilots, mechanics, and administrative personnel. As a Duty Officer, you act as a conduit for communication and information to flow within the company. This position is based at Bridger Aerospace HQ in Belgrade, MT and is a full-time, seasonal position through fire season (March-September, with the potential to extend to November). This role is shift-based and will include nights and weekends, as well as on-call responsibilities. Shifts may vary throughout the season to meet the needs of the Operations Center.

Requirements

  • Technologically savvy – computers, mobile devices and software.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with excellent critical thinking skills, strong initiative, close attention to detail and be team orientated.
  • Experience or an avid interest in aviation.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations preferred.
  • Flexible and dependable with availability to work weekends, nights, days, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Arc GIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operation Center Manager in optimizing a company-wide dashboard to communicate operational and administrative performance metrics.
  • Be familiar with company General Operating Manuals (GOMs), OpSpecs, contracts, and procedures.
  • Make timely decisions to complex challenges using company knowledge and data.
  • Coordinate logistics for mechanics and pilot crews.
  • Coordinate company flight requests.
  • Create and deliver daily ops briefs to company leadership and managers.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of data management systems and processes.
  • Uphold a high standard of customer service for internal teams and external customers through proactive communication and dependable support.
