About The Position

Under direct supervision, gains an understanding of the agency management system, insurance terms and coverages to effectively support and interact with agency personnel. Assists the department with the processing and coordination of incoming and outgoing mail; retrieves, scans and attaches documents to client files; reviews, maintains and validates agency management system data. Meets and adheres to department's established key performance metrics, service time, and quality standards. Works with colleagues in a team-based environment. Some degree of travel may be necessary. Education and Experience: Associate degree and 1-year relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required Property & Casualty Broker's license and/or Life, Accident, and Health license or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire

  • Property & Casualty Broker's license and/or Life, Accident, and Health license or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively become proficient with the agency management system
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, pay attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Effective reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to analyze data, research problems and make sound decisions using own judgment, manuals, and available resources
  • Ability to work independently and in groups
  • Effective verbal and business writing skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Maintain agency files accurately and consistently by researching using agency management system and carrier websites; validating and entering data following agency workflows and guidelines; process basic policy transactions
  • Document management; Process basic incoming and outgoing documents for all departments and branches within the agency. Retrieve, scan and attach documents to customers' files; launch workflows for agency personnel in agency management system
  • Process daily interface items/download data according to agency procedures and guidelines
  • Provide support to colleagues by responding to basic level inquiries and basic technical troubleshooting requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned
