Operations Associate II
About The Position
Confluent Medical Technologies is a financially healthy and rapidly growing medical device company dedicated to providing life-saving solutions. They specialize in the expert design and development of large-scale manufacturing for interventional catheter-based devices and implants, including Nitinol components and tubing, balloon and complex catheters, high-precision polymer tubing, and implantable textiles. The company operates in 8 state-of-the-art facilities across the United States and Costa Rica and employs over 2,000 individuals. This position is for an Operations Associate II to join the Laser team in Fremont, CA. The role involves working under close supervision and following detailed verbal and written instructions to perform repetitive bench or line assembly operations for mass producing medical device products such as Stents and Filters.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work varying shifts and overtime hours when required
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to complete training courses
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to use and read measuring devices, i.e., rulers, calipers, micrometers, reticules, thermometers, gauges, etc.
- Understands and can apply regulatory (QSR, ISO) requirements in everyday activities
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
- Must meet the visual work standards and be tested annually
Responsibilities
- Operate multiple laser machines as needed to produce laser as-cuts
- Meet productivity and quality goals
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections
- Maintain clean and orderly workstation
- Properly completes manufacturing documentation
- Work at different workstations as production needs require
- Communicate problems to supervisor or lead
- Communicate the need for production operating supplies
- Participate in improvement activities related to process or safety
- Complete required basic production, health, safety and environmental hazard training courses
- Follow all corporate, safety, and production standard operating procedures
