About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Operations Analyst to join our team in Arlington, VA. Are you generally curious, by nature? Do you enjoy using data to make informed decisions? Are you able to break down complex problems to understand where the key factors are located and then communicate those insights into the larger picture? If so, a career in Operations Analysis is perfect for you. As an Operations Analyst, you will be part of the team that delivers customer-focused analysis, as well as modeling and simulation, to address a variety of military needs across the Department of Defense. Observations derived from the analysis will be used to inform Boeing Defense investments and drive Phantom Works capture strategy. To assist with this effort, you will have industry-leading and customer-recognized resources of the Boeing Virtual Warfare Center (VWC) at your disposal, as well as access to the brightest minds across a multitude of engineering disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
  • Computer programming experience either through course work or work experience
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Basic knowledge of C++, MATLAB, Python or other modeling and simulation software or computer programming

Responsibilities

  • Perform operations analysis of military focused systems in multi-domain missions
  • Interface with government customers and internal Boeing Business Units to define system performance requirements and model inputs
  • Develop and verify modeling and simulation tools to conduct experimentation
  • Deliver concise results from complex analyses
  • Communicate and present informative results to stakeholders, internal and external to Boeing
