McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking an Operations Analyst III who will support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport RI. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) is the United States Navy's full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support center for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, and offensive and defensive weapons systems associated with undersea warfare. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, schedule driven environment. This position will provide engineering and technical support for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) . Work will primarily occur in-person at NUWCDIVNPT, with periodic travel (if necessary to support task execution). The qualified candidate will support design and development of existing Navy systems, support integration of existing equipment or software into different applications or platforms. Engineers will conducts rigorous and objective analyses that enable US Navy to make assessments, decisions, and plans. They apply the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to technical problems. Qualified applicants will have a strong background in problem-solving and analytical skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to rapidly assess a problem, reliable to deliver on time, quick thinking, and be able to balance the requirements of multiple stakeholders. They should preferably be familiar with systems engineering practices, providing programmatic support to decision-makers.
