About The Position

The OT Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining cybersecurity controls and technologies in field operations environments. This role ensures secure connectivity, compliance with cybersecurity policies, and protection of operational technology (OT) systems and field-based assets. The analyst works closely with IT, OT, and cybersecurity teams to safeguard critical infrastructure, troubleshoot security issues, and support incident response in remote or field locations.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing, including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s)
  • Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
  • Daily overtime required and in-person, predictable attendance in The Woodlands, TX.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, preferably in OT or field environments.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, and IoT security.
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, and SIEM platforms.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), ISA/IEC 62443, Purdue Model, and compliance standards.
  • Strong understanding of network security, OT systems, and field connectivity.
  • Familiarity with industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC, Ethernet/IP).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in remote environments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as GCIH, GICSP, or CISSP are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cybersecurity Operations in Field Environments Deploy and maintain cybersecurity tools and configurations for field-based systems, including SCADA, IoT devices, and industrial control systems.
  • Monitor network traffic and system logs for anomalies or potential threats in field environments.
  • Ensure secure connectivity for field operations, including frac and data vans, drilling sites, and remote facilities.
  • Policy Compliance & Governance Enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and access controls in field operations.
  • Validate compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS).
  • Maintain documentation of security configurations and audit readiness for field systems.
  • Incident Response & Troubleshooting Act as first responder for cybersecurity incidents in field locations, performing triage and escalation as needed.
  • Investigate security alerts and coordinate with SOC and IT teams for resolution.
  • Provide root cause analysis and recommend preventive measures for recurring issues.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Support Partner with OT engineers, IT infrastructure teams, and cybersecurity architects to align security controls with operational needs.
  • Support field personnel with secure access, authentication, and endpoint protection.
  • Communicate security risks and remediation plans to field leadership and technical teams.
  • Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to enhance security posture in field environments through automation and advanced monitoring.
  • Stay current with emerging threats and technologies relevant to OT and field cybersecurity.
  • Recommend upgrades and improvements to field security architecture.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
