Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive IT experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, including a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory responsibility.
  • The functional directive for all security-relevant matters of this position is within the area of responsibility of the GM or VP Finance / VP Operations
  • Access to all personnel, information, and areas at the respective location as required to fulfill security-relevant tasks on hand.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present information to customers, suppliers, vendors, management, employees and corporate personnel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem resolution and project management skills.
  • Expert knowledge of industrial control hardware, software and network operations and capabilities.
  • Experience working with shop floor/OT systems.
  • Ability to work in a fully computerized work environment and be committed to continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities

  • Must adhere to Quality and Technical System Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with the four pillars of OT Cyber Security as outlined by the Magna OT standards. Pillars include Risk Management, Reference Architecture, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Organizational Response.
  • Ensure there is adherence to regulatory requirements, common cyber security management frameworks, handles cyber security event response and is measured by internal and third-party auditors for compliance with regards to the OT environment.
  • Manage remote vendor access to OT systems including onboarding, offboarding and account management using Magna approved solutions and best practices.
  • Responsible for the reliability of day-to-day operations of OT production systems with a focus on production uptime; including coordination of preventative and predictive maintenance with various department leads.
  • Manage asset management, data & configuration backup, data retention policies and disaster recovery plans for all OT systems.
  • In conjunction with IT and operations management, oversee the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other shop floor Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, including all OT related software and integrations.
  • Manage patch management and change management policies/procedures for OT software and hardware including PLCs, robotics, printers, barcode scanners, HMIs, IoT & I4.0 devices, etc., per company’s guidelines.
  • Responsible for life cycle management for OT hardware and software including upgrading and migration of legacy OT systems to meet modern Magna requirements and standards.
  • Liaise with IT to ensure proper IT/OT network segmentation of new and existing OT systems, achieving segmentation requirements with physical, logical and firewall rule sets in accordance with Magna standards.
  • Manage the budgetary (capital & operating) requirements of the Division’s OT systems, with attention to budget planning, adherence to budget projections, procurement, and monthly expenditures.
  • Partner with various stakeholders to ensure OT objectives meet or exceed Magna standards.
  • Supporting the implementation of location-based security concepts under consideration of by-laws and existing regulations.
  • Continues evaluation of standard-based risks for location-based protection, incl. the rating and implementation of the identified needs under consideration of the economic situation of the respective plant.
  • Providing support for Information Security Audits, Customs Audits, and establishing location-specific security guidelines and instructions
  • First to document security incidents at the respective location as well as inform Magna Corporate Security Office and the Group Security Manager in charge.
  • Assurance of the quality management for security services.
