About The Position

As a critical member of the La Grange leadership team, the CI Manager will also provide leadership to the site Maintenance and Toolroom teams. A. Drive the Operational Excellence (OPEX) strategic vision and roadmaps for the La Grange, NC facility B. C. Lead and facilitate Business Operation System (BOS) meetings and agenda to drive continuous improvement D. Drive Cost-Out accountability for the site in alignment with the site's annual Profit Plan objectives E. Provide support & guidance to the La Grange leadership team with Kaizens, problem solving, and ensuring EBS adherence G. Build ELSS organizational capability and develop local ELSS/CI Tool Champions by providing training and consulting support H. Lead the development and implementation of a plant-wide training plan I. Monitor productivity to ensure that established shift quality and production levels are maintained or exceeded J. Manage the Maintenance & Toolroom teams, which includes performance management, organizational planning, time and attendance management, over-time planning, and general daily work planning. K. Ensure maintenance of records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance across the shift L. Ensure a safe work environment for all employees, in collaboration with the EHS Manager; Drive and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture M. Lead and facilitate structured Problem-Solving events including Kaizens and RIE's N. Utilize change management techniques such as ADKAR to effectively drive and sustain process improvements O. Manage capital projects and long-term planning in collaboration with Finance and Purchasing Track record of driving continuous improvements through sustainable processes. Ability to negotiate with all levels of management, both internally and externally.

Requirements

  • Track record of driving continuous improvements through sustainable processes.
  • Ability to negotiate with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in operations/continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment
  • Certified Black Belt from an accredited institution
  • Experience deploying lean techniques and continuous improvement in a manufacturing and distribution environment.
  • Experience leading Kaizens & use of basic lean tools such as standard work, TPM, VSM, 5S
  • Ability to lead a technical team of Maintenance employees
  • Prior Lean Six Sigma background and applied experience
