Job Title: Operations Excellence Manager FLSA Status: Exempt RESPONSIBILITIES Manages a team to provide implementation and support actions that will bring NPD, Continuous Improvement activities withing the Security Plant Develops and drives a continuous improvement roadmap, support of root cause analysis and corrective actions. Partners with business and functions to identify and capture process improvement opportunities and change management. Facilitate continuous improvement events and conduct classroom training when needed. Drive efforts to identify and coordinate the planning for improvement events as part of plant transformation plan, conduct Value Stream Mapping process. Lead 5S deployment throughout the plant in both manufacturing and administrative areas. Ensures project related follow up actions are addressed from operational excellence, & continuous improvement events. Develops continuous improvement competencies (Standard work, MDI, Material Flow, 5S, VSM), data-oriented decision-making, and training material required to support them. Drive Enterprise Excellence culture change through coaching of employees and leaders to drive Lean behaviors. Improve Gemba and Lean assessment maturity to meet company goals. Participate in and actively direct GEMBA walks and educating others on continuous improvement and Lean methodologies. Manage Plant and Enterprise projects as pertain to Plant Operations and Lean activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or related field 5+ years of Project Management experience including Lean Concepts and Production Systems Experience leading and driving lean transformation by eliminating waste and increasing the velocity of customer orders once released to the facility. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously and set priorities to meet deadlines on schedule and within forecast budget Experience leading Operations teams and Operations Management teams project work via continuous improvement tools such as A3, Kaizen, Project Management skills, Mathematical Skills: Use of simple statistical and graphical tools. Ability to interpret manufacturing schematics and blueprints Strong Reasoning Ability: Define problem areas, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions from multiple sources. Interpret a variety of technical procedures or processes with abstract and concrete variables Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage individuals across all levels and cross-functional teams within the organization. Experience leveraging Change Management methodologies to ensure adoption, adherence, and sustainment of new processes or process changes Demonstrated leadership as a proactive change agent with leadership skills to build and maintain a team-oriented environment while leveraging lean methodologies and process controls. Flexible, decisive and proactive problem solver Ability to positively influence and motivate teams to facilitate change Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a world-class Lean environment Project Management Certification preferred Experience and knowledge of WMS, TMS and ERP systems as it pertains to Operational efficiencies and process stability. (Experience using Oracle a plus) Solid knowledge of Lean concepts and continuous improvement-based tools and techniques, have worked in a Lean environment, or have a certification from a recognized provider of Lean Transformation training Knowledge of Materials management and/or Supply chain, APICS certification Why Work for Us? Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. The expected Base Range: $84,800 - $150,000. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or related field
