The Operational Excellence (OpEx) Manager is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team at the Syracuse plant, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. This role is critical in driving efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement across all site operations. The OpEx Manager leverages data analysis, identifies process inefficiencies, and implements strategic solutions to ensure the plant meets evolving business and customer needs. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, this position fosters a culture of innovation and operational excellence, ultimately improving productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. In this role you will: Lead and facilitate process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI tools to optimize operational performance. Develop and execute operational excellence strategies and roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives. Provide expertise and training on EBS tools, including EBS Pull, OpA, and EBS Assessments. Implement change management policies and procedures across multiple functions. Present complex business insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, effectively influencing decision-making through clear reporting, data-driven analysis. Drive standardization and digitization of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and integrate Industry 4.0 solutions in partnership with engineering and support functions. Own site-level Cost-Out initiatives aligned with annual Profit Plan objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, reduce costs, and propose innovative solutions. Design and deliver training programs on operational excellence principles, tools, and techniques for all organizational levels. Establish and monitor KPIs to measure progress and impact of CI initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed. Process Mapping: With this skill, Operational Excellence Managers document, analyze, and refine business processes for better efficiency. Performance Metrics: Utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data, Operational Excellence Managers identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Lean Six Sigma: data-driven analysis combined with waste reduction techniques to streamline processes, enhance quality, and increase efficiency. The structured approach to problem-solving identifies and eliminates non-value-added activities, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Continuous Improvement: By deploying iterative methodologies, Operational Excellence Managers aim for incremental enhancements in efficiency, productivity, and quality.
