About The Position

The Operating Room RN at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality care to surgical patients. This role involves performing intraoperative circulating and/or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site preparation, instrumentation, and maintaining sterile technique. The RN will collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure efficient and coordinated care throughout surgical procedures. Saint Francis Hospital, established in 1897, is a 617-bed Level 1 Trauma Center and a significant teaching hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England and Trinity Health, one of the nation’s largest multi-institutional Catholic healthcare delivery systems.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing required
• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience
• Must be able to function independently in the OR

Nice To Haves

• Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross)
• Familiarity with AORN standards
