The College of Arts, Media and Design (CAMD) at Northeastern University invites applications for an open-rank teaching professor or professor of the practice (non-tenure-track) in Public Relations, to be located at the Boston campus. We are particularly interested in candidates who engage public relations and strategic communication as they relate to public life, civil society, and non-profits. Potential areas of teaching include science and health communication, political messaging, misinformation, corporate communication, and crisis communication. The ideal candidate will have a strong record of accomplishment in public relations and strategic communication; demonstrate expertise in the business and creative aspects of the field; have experience with a strong network of clients especially in Boston and New York; and demonstrate interest and experience in new areas reshaping public relations including AI. Prior teaching experience in an academic setting and/or leading industry-based seminars and conferences will be preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher-practitioner who wants to shape the next generation of public relations leaders while staying at the forefront of industry innovation in areas like AI, digital storytelling, and data-driving communication.
