Our laboratory at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Department of Medicine – Division of Cardiology, conducts truly translational research by utilizing biobanked human samples and numerous mouse models to dissect heart transplant rejection. We have a microsurgeon on staff to perform heart transplants in mice, offering a unique opportunity to work with this model system, which has direct translatability to patient care. The lab employs cutting-edge technologies and maintains a highly prolific publication record. As a member of the team, you will work alongside a physician-scientist (PI) who is dedicated to teaching and fostering career advancement by helping you acquire new skills and knowledge. While your experience will be tailored to your comfort level, the expectation is that you will ultimately design and execute experiments independently. The goal of this position is to be mutually beneficial, providing opportunities for authorship and career advancement through incredible science.
