About The Position

The Department of Radiology at University of Colorado Anschutz is seeking a full-time faculty position, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, in the Neuroradiology Section at the instructor or senior instructor level. The position reports to the Director of the CU CSF Leak Center. We are a high-volume clinical program performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures related to the diagnosis and treatment of spontaneous and iatrogenic CSF leaks, as well as the clinical management of these patients in the post-treatment period. This position does not require evenings or weekends. Clinical duties involve primarily the provision of outpatient and inpatient clinical service support as well as both procedural and clinical activities. The job will require clinical duties in both the inpatient and outpatient setting including outpatient clinic visits, pre-operative H&P, informed consent, patient preparation for procedures, Also required are occasional inpatient rounding, family and patient education, coordination of longitudinal care of CSF leak patients, Coordination of a multidisciplinary CSF leak conference. The individual will be trained by the Neuroradiology physicians in image guided procedures including dynamic myelography, epidural blood patching, and epidural fibrin glue patching.

Requirements

  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor, based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
  • The rank is dependent on a combination of academic accomplishments, career pathway, as well as input from the department’s Promotion and Tenure committee.
  • Instructor: Master’s degree in NP or PA graduate from an NCCPA-approved Physician Assistant program
  • If PA - current Colorado State Physician Assistant License with prescriptive authority
  • Senior Instructor: Master’s Degree in NP or PA graduate from an NCCPA-approved Physician Assistant program
  • If PA - current Colorado State Physician Assistant License with prescriptive authority
