About The Position

The Department of Epidemiology, Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is recruiting two full-time tenure track faculty positions focused on reproductive, perinatal, or pediatric epidemiology. These positions will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor. Outstanding candidates will have expertise applying epidemiology methods to understand the epidemiology, etiology, biology, prevention, or equity related to reproduction, perinatal health, or pediatric health. UNC Department of Epidemiology faculty are expected to develop and maintain an independently funded research portfolios, serve as academic advisors to doctoral and masters epidemiology students, and contribute to classroom teaching in their discipline. e.g. reproductive, perinatal and pediatric epidemiology.

  • Candidates for the rank of Assistant Professor must demonstrate strong potential to become independent investigator, teacher, and mentor.
  • Candidates for the rank of Associate Professor must have a strong record of scholarship, including substantial experience as a principal investigator and key collaborator on epidemiology research, a funded research program, and a strong record of teaching and mentoring graduate students.
