About The Position

Pomelo Care is a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, engineers and problem solvers who are passionate about improving care for moms and babies. We are transforming outcomes for pregnant people and babies with evidence-based pregnancy and newborn care at scale. Our technology-driven care platform enables us to engage patients early, conduct individualized risk assessments for poor pregnancy outcomes, and deliver coordinated, personalized virtual care throughout pregnancy, NICU stays, and the first postpartum year. We measure ourselves by reductions in preterm births, NICU admissions, c-sections and maternal mortality; we improve outcomes and reduce healthcare spend. As an early hire on a growing IT team, you will have the chance to help shape a world-class IT program at a rapidly scaling, high-growth startup. Specifically you will, Create an intuitive and user-friendly technology environment for your fellow Pomelos!

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an IT support/operations role
  • High-level customer service orientation with a focus on end-user experience
  • Success both when working independently and within a team
  • Comfortable working directly with executives and other senior members of leadership
  • Experience supporting audio/video/telephony equipment in an office setting
  • Experience managing office networking equipment and services including Wi-Fi access points, network switches and cabling
  • Familiarity with office security configurations such as door access systems and security cameras
  • Experience managing a physical hardware inventory
  • Strong communication skills and ability to understand/empathize with users
  • Experience administering Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom
  • Experience managing and supporting Macs and macOS
  • Knowledge and experience with MDM tools
  • Experience automating repetitive tasks

  • Experience at a healthcare startup
  • Experience working with Kandji
  • Experience with BetterCloud, Slack Workflows or Okta Workflows
  • Experience with Spoke, Halp or Foqal
  • Experience with device lifecycle management platforms like Firstbase, Hofy or Allwhere
  • Experience working with security and compliance platforms such as Vanta or Drata

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support in our NYC office at least twice a week (or as needed)
  • Partner with fellow IT team members to document, improve and automate IT processes
  • Define and meet support SLAs
  • Implement security policies across Okta, Slack, Google Workspace and other third-party vendors to keep our patients' data safe.
