About The Position

The Onsite Inventory Coordinator ensures customers always have the right products at the right time by delivering, stocking, and managing inventory directly at their sites. This role builds strong relationships through reliable service, clear communication, and proactive inventory management, while also identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and support customer success. As an Onsite Inventory Coordinator, you will: • Drive to customer sites; deliver and stock orders per account specifications. Plan route and independently schedules workflow. Keep on-site bins clean and uncluttered. • Complete physical inventory for predetermined items at site; create a replenishment order to restock bins and maintain set inventory levels. Monitor inventory usage to make suggestions for changing reorder points. • Maintain scanner and keep files related to VMI accounts up to date. • Maintain record of activities pertaining to VMI including an up-to-date Customer contact list • Verify the order writing and pulling process with the Operations team. • Communicate through various channels (in person, written, email, fax, telephone) when placing orders with the customer and internal departments (sales, customer account specialist, warehouse, returns, etc.) • Maintain the VMI/CAP Database for each assigned account. • Maintain constant communication with Account Managers, (status of the account, projects, problems) and participate in sales calls. • Be responsible for consignment agreement compliance, (quarterly cycle counts, semi-annual physical inventory and review of items to be purchased or returned). • Oversee and execute in the initial reorganization project with: The physical movement of inventory, shelf set-up, Data collection, Part number cross reference research, The labeling of bins and shelves • Pursue new business opportunities through sales initiatives within the VMI group and by monitoring items supplied by competitors and determining the ability to convert items to Mc-Mc products. • Maintain delivery vehicle and coordinates necessary repairs and maintenance. • Frequently lift, carry or otherwise moves and positions product weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products. Typically bend, stoop and/or crouch on a regular basis from various heights to stock or deliver product to a customer. • Assists in all other areas of VMI operations as needed. • Respect various safety standards at all customer facilities • Operates forklift: proper training and certification required. May also use material handling equipment (including pallet jack, dollies, handcart and conveyor). • Assist in creating, implementing and revising work procedures and instructions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred or demonstrated progression toward degree completion
  • 2+ years of Sales experience with an entrepreneurial mindset usually obtained through Mentoring program, Counter Sales or Inside Sales support position with knowledge of Mc-Mc products and warehouse operations.
  • Proven multi-tasking organizational skills. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products (including Word and Excel) and Trend
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to independently obtain objectives and be self-directed.
  • Valid chauffeur’s license and driver’s license for region of business operation with a good driving record
