About The Position

In this role, you will report to the Site Services Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. How you will thrive and create an impact: Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will: Inventory management, including receiving stockroom orders Verifying item accuracy, quantity, and documentation, and overall condition before stocking for incoming materials Sorting of materials and delivering to designated areas, dock inventory/organization Executing washing, autoclaving, and tubing assembly may include collection, inspection, distribution, and data collection of various types of items Accurately record and communicate information to internal and external teams Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures Use inventory management system(s); SAP, etc. Perform Safety-focused Operations: Documenting/reporting observations, executing basic safety scope (e.g., eye wash stations, safety showers, extinguisher, ERT carts, etc.) Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 1+ years’ customer service, inventory replenishment, or material handling experience is required.
  • Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office suite.
  • Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues required.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • High level of customer service skills with the ability to display a professional can-do attitude required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs required.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines required.
  • Problem-solving skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG and OSHA Right to Know experience is considered a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a GMP facility is strongly desired.
