The Onsite HR Manager will serve as the primary human resources leader for a multi-location manufacturing operation, working onsite five days per week. This role is highly hands-on and is responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR functions, including employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, and workplace safety. The HR Manager will partner closely with plant leadership to support day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with employment laws and safety regulations, and drive a positive, productive workplace culture across all locations. Key Responsibilities Human Resources & Employee Relations: · Serve as the main point of contact for all employee relations matters, including coaching, counseling, investigations, and conflict resolution. · Interpret and apply company policies and procedures in compliance with California labor laws. · Support performance management processes, including corrective actions, disciplinary actions, and terminations. · Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with company values and operational goals. Recruiting & Talent Management: · Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles across multiple manufacturing locations. · Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs, interview candidates, and make hiring recommendations. · Coordinate onboarding, new hire orientation, and training programs. · Support workforce planning. Payroll & Benefits Administration: · Oversee and process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with California wage and hour laws. · Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, and leaves of absence. · Serve as liaison with payroll and benefits vendors to resolve employee issues · Ensure compliance with CA requirements related to paid sick leave, meal and rest periods, overtime, and final pay. Compliance & HR Administration: · Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with a strong emphasis on California regulations (e.g., FMLA/CFRA, FEHA, wage and hour laws). · Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation. · Support audits, reporting, and required postings. · Develop and update HR policies and procedures as needed. Safety & Workers’ Compensation: · Partner with operations leadership to support workplace safety programs and OSHA compliance. · Coordinate safety training, incident reporting, and corrective action plans. · Manage workers’ compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and injury investigations. · Promote a culture of safety across all locations. Leadership & Multi-Location Support: · Act as a trusted HR partner to plant leadership and supervisors. · Travel periodically between locations as needed to provide on-site HR support. · Support change management initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
