About The Position

The George DeLallo Company is seeking an Online Order Fulfillment Associate for its Mt. Pleasant, PA location. This full-time, entry-level position involves being part of a dynamic team responsible for picking, packing, and shipping customers' online orders. The role requires handling inventory, processing orders from various channels, ensuring accurate and efficient packing, and selecting appropriate shipping methods. The George DeLallo Company, founded in 1950, is a family-owned manufacturer and distributor of specialty Italian and Mediterranean foods, with operations across multiple locations including a corporate office and distribution center in Mount Pleasant, PA, production facilities, an olive orchard, and an industrial bakery. Requirements

  • Basic computer and internet skills
  • Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers
  • Ability to react to change productively and handle other tasks assigned
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within established deadlines
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to communicate in oral and written form

  • Available for extended hours during our peak holiday season that could involve additional overtime hours
  • Ability to work in an open warehouse environment, which could involve exposure to elements, such as varying temperatures and/or loud noises
  • Ability to operate a dolly or pallet jack for unloading and moving supplies and equipment
  • 1 year customer service experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Experience with shipping software

Responsibilities

  • Place orders to refill stock, receive and unpack inventory daily
  • Download customer orders from our computer system and the internet channels
  • Read orders and pick correct items according to order
  • Pack orders in a time effective manner with attention to detail
  • Determine most economical and efficient shipping method; selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery
  • Checks items to be shipped against orders to be certain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct
  • Ship packages through different channels: UPS, USPS, and FedEx
  • Build baskets and gift collections to be sold at our retail store and online
  • Maintain and prepare routine daily administrative paperwork, reports, and file shipping/receiving records
  • Follows policies, procedures, objectives, and safety standards
  • Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
