This role involves planning and developing the Onelink Tax System, with a primary focus on e-services, registration, and return processing. Key responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing user functions and activities, evaluating available resources and current tax systems, and developing appropriate tax programs or tax systems. The Supervisor will also assign and review work, provide training, evaluate performance, provide professional development, and manage schedules, time, and leave of an assigned team.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of: Computer technology; programming languages; coding processes; and security measures And understanding of .Net, C#, and SQL programming. Software development life cycles, object-oriented programming, relational databases, user interfaces, business processes, testing technology, and code analysis.

  • Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS or related discipline (Other disciplines may be considered if IT Professional Certifications are earned). Plus, five (5) years of experience with operational web-based applications, encompassing all stages from conception to deployment, including Two (2) years of professional experience supervising teams is required.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in .Net, C#, and/or SQL programming.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervision and direction of staff who are responsible for one or more of the e-services, registration, and return areas of the OneLink Tax system.
  • Monitors application configuration and development activity of the developers assigned to those areas.
  • Assigns, reviews work, provides training, evaluates performance, provides professional development, and manages schedules, time, and leave of an assigned team.
  • Prepares and plans for major projects or assignments and efficiently allocates resources for their completion.
  • Monitors scheduled jobs and configures and maintains the OneLink Tax system.
  • Reviews and analyzes organization business needs; confers with users to evaluate requirements, discuss solutions, and develop plan of approach.
  • Analyzes and designs program logic, screen layouts, reports, station criteria and testing criteria to support development of new or enhanced tax systems; evaluates prototypes, design techniques, tools, and instructional methods.
  • Establishes best practices, methodology, and discipline, for group activities, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinates with other Innovation Division functional areas, OTC Divisions, and external state agencies when processing or developing processes on the OneLink Tax system. Gathers and categorizes statistical data as required for process analysis and improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
