About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join our esteemed client in Chelsea. This role involves providing specialist pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of cancer treatments. Your expertise will be essential in medication management, chemotherapy verification, and patient education, supporting multidisciplinary teams to optimise treatment outcomes.

Requirements

• GPhC registration (essential)
• Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
• Proven experience in oncology pharmacy, including chemotherapy verification and patient counselling
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and verifying chemotherapy prescriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance with treatment protocols
• Providing expert pharmaceutical advice to oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Monitoring and managing drug interactions, side effects, and patient responses to oncology medications, ensuring optimal patient safety and therapeutic effectiveness
• Educating patients on their treatment plans, including chemotherapy regimens and supportive medications, offering guidance to enhance adherence and understanding
• Participating in clinical audits and contributing to the development of oncology pharmacy guidelines, helping to shape best practices within the department
