About The Position

Under the direction of the Albuquerque Plant Manager, and working alongside key personnel at the customer site, the On-Site Customer Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to support all aspects of the Customers shielding and related services at the Customers manufacturing site. The On-Site Customer Supervisor will be the first point of contact, handling enquiries, assisting with resolution of complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will have the opportunity to: Lead and manage the Materion employed On-Site Shipping employee. Develop, in liaison with Customer, a flexible inventory system capable of responding to manufacturing demand and technological change to avoid stock-outs or component obsolescence (optimize inventory levels). Assist in determining shielding needs with the engineering team as a result of new equipment installs, system re-configurations, and quality. Work with ABQ Ops team to assist in prioritizing orders and maintaining high turnover and quick cycle times for all shield cleaning. Provide and maintain a weekly inventory report of all shielding at Customer’s facility, and in-transit. Notify the Customer’s Buyer when additional spare parts are needed. Provide a daily report outlining the shielding shipments from Customer on that day - this can be done by email. The report will be sent to the appropriate Materion and Customer distribution list at the end of each day. Provide reviews and written reports of the on-site cleaning program, detailing consumption by equipment set, areas of improvement, potential areas of opportunity, and failures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Associates degree in one of the following Engineering disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Physics, or related field, or Equivalent Work Experience.
  • Requires work experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Experience with inventory control and stocking, and experience with quality inspections.
  • Requires the ability to operate various office and warehouse equipment to include a computer, printer, copier, calculator, telephone systems.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to work independently while maintaining open communication with the Materion sales, marketing and operations groups.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience desirable.
