About The Position

Innovative Therapeutic Services (ITS) is seeking an On-Site Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical supervision and leadership to licensed behavioral health professionals. This role is based in a juvenile detention center setting and involves working with clients diagnosed with a range of Axis I disorders, including anxiety, depression, and ADHD. The ideal candidate is a licensed, board-approved clinical supervisor in Maryland who is passionate about supporting clinicians, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality care to youth. Onboarding and required training are expected to begin in February 2026, with staff assuming their full clinical roles effective March 1, 2026 . As part of our strategic expansion, ITS is extending mental health services throughout Department of Juvenile Services (DJS) centers across Maryland. This expansion reflects our mission to increase access to high-quality behavioral health care for justice-involved youth while creating meaningful opportunities for clinicians to contribute to systems-level impact, professional growth, and community-based change.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work
  • Active and in Good standing ( Board-approved clinical supervisor in the State of Maryland ) : LCPC-S or LCSW-C
  • Minimum of 3 years of counseling experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to complete a federal and state background check
  • Reliable transportation

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Flexibility, creativity, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to ethical practice and high-quality clinical care

  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a juvenile detention center setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical, case consultation, and administrative supervision to licensed behavioral health professionals
  • Conduct individual and group supervision sessions
  • Ensure clinical documentation is completed, signed, and submitted in compliance with regulatory and agency standards
  • Schedule and coordinate supervision meetings with behavioral health staff
  • Enforce agency policies and procedures
  • Complete psychosocial evaluations as needed
  • Provide clinical coverage and backup when behavioral health staff are unavailable
  • Attend clinical staff meetings and clinical supervisor meetings as scheduled
