About The Position

Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining computer systems, peripherals, and other hardware. They diagnose issues, replace faulty components, and ensure systems are restored to working order. This role often involves on-site visits, collaboration with help desk teams, and documenting repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and Diagnosis: Identifying the root cause of hardware and software problems through diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Hardware Repair and Replacement: Replacing defective components like motherboards, power supplies, hard drives, or peripherals.
  • System Upgrades: Installing and configuring hardware and software upgrades.
  • Documentation: Creating detailed records of repairs, parts used, and actions taken to resolve issues.
  • Communication: Clearly explaining technical issues to clients and providing updates on repair progress.
  • Inventory Management: Maintaining an inventory of commonly used components for timely repairs.
  • Following Procedures: Adhering to company policies and procedures for service delivery and documentation.
  • Collaboration: Working with other technicians, help desk teams, or IT departments on complex issues.
