This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for On-Call Emergency Managers – Safety . Since the actual work location will be the deployment site(s), these positions have the potential to report out of any WSP USA office, which could include Boston, MA; Jacksonville, FL; Tallahassee, FL; Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Miami, FL; Birmingham, AL; New Orleans, LA; Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Dallas, TX; or Houston, TX. Emergency management cadre positions are on-call and assignments are on an as-needed basis . Cadre members are not eligible for benefits. Cadre members are asked for a 30 day commitment; availability to deploy with little to no advance notice (typically within 24-48 hours); and during deployments, ability to potentially work 8-12 hours/day; 7 days/week. Your Impact Lead Emergency Management team, providing services to clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide and in US territories. Manage Emergency Operations Center and/or Field Staging Area operations prior to, during, and post-disaster. Responsible for ensuring that worksites are safe for workers and comply with applicable regulations. Attend periodic training throughout the year to maintain deployment eligibility. Support Emergency Management Project Management functions. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
