What You Will Be Doing You will provide clerical and technical support for the staff of the Office of Workforce Investments, they will provide secretarial and administrative support for the Oregon Youth Works team and programs, and they will assist program partners as needed by providing informational and technical assistance. The specific support this position provides will vary and will require the employee to determine the most appropriate course of action within the established OWI procedures. The Work at a Glance Clerical Support Checks availability of partners/meeting attendees and schedules meetings Note taking for internal team meetings, as well as public meetings for Oregon Youth Works board and the Future Ready Industry Consortia Support the arranging of travel for the Office of Workforce Investments team Information and Technical Assistance Serves as point of contact for multiple program Outlook inboxes. Provides overall technical support for the Office of Workforce Investment’s public meetings. Record Processing Reviewing program and grantees reports. Supports communications for the Office of Workforce Investments, including newsletter content development, social media content development and postings. Other Duties as Assigned Supports program and grantee site visits with the Oregon Youth Works team. Attends and supports trainings and convenings for the Office of Workforce Investments team. Works collaboratively with other Office of Workforce Investments’ support staff on cross training, alignment, and process improvement. This is a full time; permanent position headquartered at HECC’s Salem Office and represented by SEIU. This position is required to either possess and maintain a valid driver's license by the state of residence or provide an acceptable mode of alternative transportation, in order to travel to required training and meetings. The successful candidate may be eligible for in-state hybrid work, which consists of performing duties onsite in a standard office environment and working remotely. Requirements

  • Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
  • An associate degree in any field; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
