About The Position

The Office Specialist position for the Nebraska Real Estate Commission assists the Commission with assisting customers and staff with real estate license processing and the administration of the license act. The Office Specialist position will assist the Commission with customer service duties related to communications with licensees and the public including notices and responses to inquires related to administrative license requirements. The position will also be responsible for entering, updating, and retrieving information from the licensee database. In addition to administrative support of licensing functions the incumbent may be responsible for the maintenance and delivery of enforcement related records and other clerical duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment
  • Applicants should have training and or experience in basic computer user skills (Windows, Microsoft Office), as well as written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and responsibilities in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a legal setting or regulatory knowledge of legal terminology is desired.
