About The Position

This is a hands-on, full-time position that serves as the school's visible, relationship-driven presence—leading the front office experience while gathering, shaping, and sharing authentic stories that strengthen trust and connection among BECS, families, students, staff, and the broader community. It integrates operational systems to support staff, families, and visitors with school-wide engagement and storytelling. The day-to-day duties include office management, oversight of front-office systems and logistics, and strategization and implementation of marketing and community engagement efforts. This position will ensure alignment with BECS's core values, mission, and vision while maintaining professional and effective communication across all platforms. The marketing aspect involves developing and implementing strategies, managing social media and website content, and fostering community connections through engagement and storytelling. This role also calls for a creative eye. You’ll design flyers, social media graphics, and promotional materials in alignment with our Brand Guidelines. While expert-level design skills aren’t required, confidence in visual creation and a strong sense of branding are essential. Work Schedule: Full-time, Year-round (One Day Remote) Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, hours may vary and are dependent on business needs. Compensation Range: $71,400. - $87,354 (depending on experience; Bromley honors up to 11 years of relevant experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, advertising, or related field required.
  • 2+ years of management experience required. School experience preferred.
  • 2 + years of marketing experience required (digital marketing, social media management, creating promotional and brand-aligned materials).
  • Advanced leadership skills, with the ability to provide strategic direction, inspire and guide teams toward shared goals, develop and implement action plans, and mentor colleagues.
  • Advanced understanding of effective marketing and communications strategies, with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive plans that enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication abilities, including proficiency in storytelling, public speaking and delivering impactful messaging to diverse audiences using a variety of formats.
  • Advanced research skills, including the ability to gather relevant information from various sources, understand the context of the information and identify potential biases or limitations.
  • Advanced organizational capabilities, ensuring meticulous attention to detail in all tasks and projects, thereby maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Advanced skill in managing time efficiently, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines consistently, even in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
  • Advanced analytical skills, enabling the identification and resolution of complex problems through innovative and strategic thinking.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite and related software, effectively utilizing these tools to enhance productivity and streamline processes.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Canva or other design tools, with the ability to produce professional, on-brand marketing materials.
  • Ability to apply visual design principles and brand consistency across a variety of platforms and media types.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, mentors, and develops the office team, providing regular feedback and training to support professional growth.
  • Oversees office operations to ensure efficiency, compliance with policies, and adherence to applicable laws.
  • Provides hands-on support to office staff, especially for complex, sensitive, or high-priority tasks.
  • Collaborates with the Parent Engagement Network to plan, organize, and execute school events.
  • Leads coordination of schoolwide and community events, working closely with administrative staff and stakeholders.
  • Develops and executes integrated marketing campaigns to boost brand awareness in collaboration with leadership, the Executive Assistant and approved affiliates.
  • Authors and shapes stories through daily interactions, events, and observation of school life that showcase our missions and values, and build trust with the school community.
  • Captures photos and visuals of classrooms, events, and daily school life, and organizes and maintains photo libraries for future use.
  • Leads the development of parent and staff newsletters, incorporating leadership updates and operational information as needed, in collaboration with the EA.
  • Creates visually compelling, on-brand designs for digital and print materials using Canva or similar tools, including postcards, flyers, newspaper advertisements, and social media postings.
  • Distributes and posts marketing materials to local businesses and on social media platforms.
  • Designs brand-aligned BECS merchandise and promotional items.
  • Manage social media accounts, including Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Create and post materials aligning with the BECS social media strategy.
  • Monitor social media activity, including parent Facebook pages and community platforms like Next Door.
  • Notifies administration of important information, collects evidence of concerns, and analyzes trends.
  • Maintains functionality of the BECS website and mobile app, including meeting ADA accessibility requirements.
  • Creates, updates, and edits website and mobile app content, which could include general information, photos, videos, articles, blog posts, and other online content.
  • Analyzes website performance and implements SEO strategies to increase online presence.
  • Follows BECS branding and strategy guidelines.
  • Attends school and community events to foster relationships, create story content, and represent Bromley East.
  • Manages the school’s reputation and communicates with the public.
  • Develops, cultivates, and maintains relationships with local businesses and community partners in alignment with BECS mission, values, and brand.
  • Identifies, coordinates, and manages sponsorship opportunities that support school events, programs, and initiatives.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for community partners and sponsors.
  • Coordinates recognition and stewardship of sponsors, including signage and public acknowledgements.
  • Maintains a centralized tracker of community partnerships and sponsorships to ensure follow-through and continuity.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
