About The Position

Wordly is looking for a dependable, personable Office Operations Associate to keep things running smoothly for their small Los Altos office hub and in support of their remote-first workforce. This part-time role involves managing office operations, assisting with bookkeeping, HR support, and administrative duties. Wordly is a fast-growing tech startup based in Los Altos, California, providing real-time translation services in 50+ languages to a global customer base including local organizations, government entities, and Fortune 500 companies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an office, administrative, or HR support role
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment
  • Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail
  • Warm, clear communication style across written and async channels (email, Slack, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
  • Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential employee information
  • Self-starter who manages priorities well without close supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with HRIS tools a plus
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Be on-site two days per week to manage office operations
  • Assist with basic book keeping and office administration
  • Assist HR with new employee onboarding and internal employee communications
  • Support management with scheduling resources and travel
  • Other administrative duties as needed to support remote staff personnel
