About The Position

The Office Operations Assistant is responsible for coverage for reception duties for internal and external customers, supporting mailroom operations, and providing consistently excellent customer service at the AMU Coffee Bar. The Office Operations Assistant will work closely with many areas of the company including management, operations, and more. Being professional, friendly, hospitable, service oriented, timely, and attentive is critical to the success of this role. This position will help in fostering a positive culture internally and represent a positive brand image to visitors.

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • One to two years’ customer service experience required
  • Must be able to lift packages up to 50lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Two to three years’ experience working as a Barista preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Must be present and able to staff the AMU Coffee Bar from 7:30 a.m. – 11:00 AM daily
  • Provide excellent customer service by making quality beverages for customers such as lattes, cappuccinos & other espresso-type beverages, coffee, & cold drinks as requested.
  • Follows health, safety, and sanitary guidelines within the coffee bar and at the coffee station.
  • Manage and order all stock for the coffee bar and coffee stations
  • Responsible for managing & advising the facilities manager of low inventory to ensure that products do not go out of date, spoiled, or out-of-stock.
  • Greet visitors and associates in a professional, welcoming manner
  • Answer, screen and route incoming calls and inquiries.
  • Manage access into the building for guests and deliveries.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Processing, sorting, and distributing all incoming mail.
  • Distributing all corporate interoffice mail.
  • Preparing outgoing shipments/mail and ensuring all items are properly labeled, coded, and documented for expense allocation.
  • Helping to stock the mailroom with appropriate supplies.
  • Other shipping/receiving duties.
