About The Position

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking an Office Manager for their nursing department. This role is an entry-level position into the medical field, offering the opportunity to work alongside nursing, clinical, and medical records professionals. The Office Manager will assist the Director of Nursing in departmental functions, including scheduling medical appointments, coordinating paperwork for informed consent, and other administrative nursing duties. The ideal candidate is empathetic, a team player, energetic, creative, understands behavior management and positive reinforcement, and has a strong passion for helping children and adolescents with behavioral differences. Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Georgia, located in Kennesaw, Georgia, provides programs and services for children and adolescents with emotional, psychiatric, developmental, or neurological disorders. The company also offers the ASCEND career accelerator program, which provides career guidance, coaching, skills development, and financial assistance, including 100% tuition coverage and student loan repayment, to behavioral healthcare workers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School diploma.
  • Two years administrative experience in the medical field
  • Be empathetic, a team player, energetic, creative, understand the theories of behavior management and positive reinforcement, and represent yourself as a positive role model
  • Have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with behavioral differences.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Services or Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders, and/or IDD disorders preferred
  • Medical billing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Director of Nursing as necessary in carrying out the functions of the department.
  • Schedule medical appointments and follow-ups
  • Coordinate paperwork for informed consent
  • Perform other administrative nursing functions in coordination with the Director of Nursing.
